really short week

What new ideas did you learn this week? This week was a very short week. We still learned some new ideas but not that many. We learned the idea that rate multiplied by time equals the velocity or speed a car is traveling at. We found two points that meet at a common place. If you found it it would make a square. If the distance is not perfectly at 1 then you would have to find how much there is in one time rate. We also did an experiment,we measured the speed of two cars one car that was slow and one car that was fast. We found that the faster car went higher and there was a greater distance between the many points that were marked. The slower cars line was lower and there was less space between the different points. We really only learned of two points not anymore.

How did you learn these ideas? I learned the rate formula by doing a series of homework assignments as well as talking about the topic in a very specific way. We did many examples in class so that we ould get the idea of where and how you use it. We did an expieriment to see how the diffrent graphs would look for a fast car and for a slow car. We recorded our data and wrote up many things that you would need for a lab report. We then wanted to see if my predictions were true or false and the were true.

How can you relate these ideas to real life? It relates to real life because you drive your car everyday and it has rates and distances like what we did this week. We could do the fast cars and slow cars because some of our cars go faster than others which is why it is related to what we did last week.
