What new ideas did we learn this week? This week we learned many new ideas because we started a new unit. The new unit is motion. It was a very interesting week which we started to learn stuff about motion. When the supposed car was moving or really anything is moving we wanted to know if the many observers that we picked out would see the object as moving or not moving. For example we said to a person who is standing to the side would say a person in a car was not moving because he doesn't see him move even a muscle. The car that he is driving in the the object that is moving. We also did things with a graph that has a x and y axis and a negative side and a positive side. We did an experiment to test to see if a small toy car would have the went the same distance and had the same amount of time inbetween the times that we marked. We found out that they are slightly diffrent but is not that much diffrent. We also did an expieriment with telescopes. We looked through them and the teacher had a ball in his hand and we wanted to see if the balled moved ofr the teacher is the thing that moved.

How did you learn these ideas? We learned these ideas by doing many expieriments and discussions. For the start of this unit we first discussed if a person who is standing outside and a person in a car passes him. We observed that the person would only see the car move not the person. When the teacher was holding the ball in his hand we observerd if he was moving or the ball was moving. The toy car thing was an expieriment that we did to see if the points in the middle of the points were equal or not. The thing with the axis and the negative and positives were done by discussing about a courdinate plane and see if it was going in the nagetive direction or positive direction or was on the y and x axis.

How do we relate this to daily life? We can relate this to daily life because it teaches you alot about motion and how people view if something is moving or not moving. The people can tell if is moving because the object would be moving very quickly or very slowly. It can also teach you about the motion of cars and how they move as well as if people can see the car when it is moving.
