What science ideas did you learn?
This was a shorter week but we still learned many things. At the beginning of the week we talked about newton's particle model and Huygens wave model. We talked about how they are the same and which one of them have to do with light more. We found out that Huygens was more correct because there are light rays would travel in the waves. We also talked about what would happen to the light if it hit the water. Would it have a refraction or not? there was also a part when we talked about what would happen to the light if it hit the water. What would happen if it hit an opaque surface. we talked also about how before it hit the water it is a ray and when it went into the water it turned into waves and when it went in to the water it made a pretty big refraction.

How did you learn these ideas?
We learned these ideas in many ways. Like for the Huygens and newton models we talked about their models about how they are the same and how they are different. Then we saw which one has to do with a ray diagram more. We talked about if there are light rays in the waves that travel into the water. We thought of many ways and finally came up with that conclusion. For each of the many questions we used a test to see what the answer is. The test was that we pointed a laser at the water and saw what the answer was.

Why is it important to know this idea?
It is important to know these ideas because they will help you in your daily life. It will teach you more about partilcle models and how they have to do with light. It will also teach you about wave models and how they have to do with light rays. They will teach you how the models are diffrent and how they are the same. It teaches you many diffrent characteristics about light also which might help you when you are doing some type of job also.

Well that is the end of my blog go yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
